I got them for my son who lives in Colorado. He may start the day hiking with his dog for her morning run. Then go to work framing or roofing a house. Then come home feed his chickens clean up. He doesn't want to change out his boots. He said these are the most comfortable boots he has had in awhile. So I ordered him another pair. The green ones this time since he has the brown ones.
This is my second pair. When the first pair finally gave out, i looked at my order history to find them again. I couldn't believe it'd been 10 months! I am very tough on shoes. All other shoes i use for work last me 3-4 months at most. These run about $10 more than i typically have paid in the past but with 2.5 - 3 times the life it's certainly worth it. I will say they are a little stiff for the first week, but after that they're great. Oh, and they kept my feet dry no matter what i was doing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Just received these shoes today and let me tell ya, I had my doubts! Needed some hunting boots for November in Colorado and didn't want to break the bank so I took a shot on these... I'm glad I did.. I chose the black pair.. these boots are well built and have a stiffer, rugged sole with great traction.. they come with an extra set of laces and run true to size and they really look good.. I ordered my usual 12 and they fit great. a bit more room in the toe box than what I'm used to but actually work great with my thick wool socks. I took them for a 3 mile spin this evening and my feet felt good from start to finish.. they do repel water and I'm sure they will do fine in the elk woods! For the money you can't go wrong, I'd definitely buy these again!
They're still new, but I have them broken-in (which really doesn't take much time). They're super lightweight and comfy.. they feel somewhat rigid, which is good.. my old Nike ACG's were being used as work boots and these have a much tougher heel sidewall. They are comfortable- just because they're only $45-$50 don't let that deter you. I would sell these for about $65 new, they feel good and my feet stay dry. They are not steel toe (thank god). If you need comfy feet while on a budget, then these Nortiv8's are for you!
I use these on my Vineyard/Winery. A lot of mild hills; uneven dirt/soil. Maybe around 4-6 miles of walking per day. Overall for the price point they're great. True to size and don't overheat your feet! First week was rough and feet hurt because of how stiff they were but that rapidly remedied itself after about 4 days of daily use. Laces are extra long so perfect for secure double knots. Also comes with extra laces! "Water resistant" I got a bunch of sugary grape juice on them from debunching on the vines and I sprayed them off with the pressure washer while wearing them and they cleaned up right away while my socks remained dried. I would not go jumping in any puddles in them that's why I put "resistant" not water proof. Overall I would say 9/10. Just because that first week was really uncomfortable to break them in. However I would recommend them for everyday use!
